260mm disc brake kit
This kit has NO parking brake.
The kit will work with 13″ wheels, but NOT the original wheels. You will need a wheel with an internal diameter of at least 318mm or 12.51″. New 13″ Revolution classic wheels work perfectly, as will other wheels.
Caliper
For this application we will use the Wilwood Powerlite caliper with 1.00″ piston size (Wilwood part number 120-8724).
This caliper has a 1/2 NPT fitting for the brake lines. You can buy small adapters that will screw into the caliper and will let you use the original 3/16 UNF brake lines.
This caliper has NO parking brake mechanism.
Brake discs
This kit utilises Honda Accord IV Coupe (CB, CC) 2.0i 16V (01.1992 – 09.1993) rear brake discs. These solid discs and have a 260mm diameter.
MODIFICATION: The discs have an incorrect PCD, however the brake disc mounting holes have the perfect PCD for a Lotus Europa. These will need to be drilled out to match your wheel studs. This can be easily done with a pillar drill or handheld drill.
Mounting brackets
The brackets are made out of 6mm galvanised steel with an aluminium radial mount bolted (loctited) to them. The calipers will bolt to these radial mounts using the supplied high-tensile bolts and aluminium spacers.
These are designed to mount to the rear upright, in place of the drum brake backing plate. You can use the original bolts to mount these to the rear upright.
The design of the mount takes care of any alignment issues. There is no shimming or aligning involved. The calipers bolt simply to the brackets and will fit the brake discs as designed.
